Time Out Los Angeles' inaugural Mac & Cheese Smackdown is for anyone who's ever dreamed of spending two hours spooning delicious mac and cheese into their face—so, everyone. Cheesy variations from mac-O-licious, Lemonade, Estérel, Nick & Stef's Steakhouse, Horse Thief BBQ, POP Champagne & Dessert Bar, The Hudson, Max City BBQ and Hyperion Public will battle it out for your vote as to who should be crowned the best mac and cheese purveyor in the city. And when you need to take a break from all that noshing, there's plenty to sip on, too: your $30 ticket includes two beers from Angel City Brewery and two pours of wine from Dark Horse Wines, along with samples of mac and cheese from each vendor.
When buying your ticket, choose from two sessions (noon-2pm or 2:30-4:30pm)—though really, there's no wrong time to eat mac and cheese. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Best Friends Animal Society.
You have five days to stretch your stomach. Use them wisely.
