Little Ground Cafe (Glendale): On the corner of Sonora and Flower in Glendale, Little Ground Cafe has opened with Stumptown coffee and some pretty delicious pastries. Stop by for caramel pecan monkey bread, orange ginger scones, almond lemon tea cake and mini banana loaves paired with a cappuccino, iced coffee or other brewed delights. 1450 Flower St, Glendale; Mon-Fri 7am-3pm
Two Kids Coffee (South Pasadena): Funded by Kickstarter, Two Kids Coffee is a small shop in South Pasadena with an espresso-fueled menu (there are a few non-coffee items as well, like tea and hot cocoa). Despite the loud wallpaper and quirky artwork, it's a chill place to grab a cup before work or hang out on the weekends. 1504 Mission St, South Pasadena; Thu-Tue 7am-4pm
1denim (Glendale): Have you ever gone shopping for jeans and, mid-way through, thought, "A latte sounds really good right about now"? Enter 1denim, a brand new denim and coffee shop in the Glendale Galleria. They sell their own brand of ground coffee, along with lattes, cappuccinos, espresso and more. 127 S Brand Blvd, Glendale; Mon-Fri 7am-7pm, Sat 8am-8pm, Sun 10am-8pm
Go Get Em Tiger (Los Feliz): The popular Larchmont coffee shop has expanded to a stunning space in Los Feliz, where a bright, wood-paneled shop opens up to an airy patio. The food is just as great as the coffee—baked pancakes with crème fraîche and preserves, adobo grain bowl, soft scrambled eggs and house-made granola are a great place to start. 4630 Hollywood Blvd; Daily 7am-3pm
