You can try to hang on to fall as long as you want, but now that Halloween is behind us, it’s pretty much the winter holiday season. To get you into the spirit, a little bit of winter wonder will be arriving in Downtown L.A. next week in the form of the Pershing Square Holiday Ice Rink

The rink opens on November 10 and you can ice skate to your heart’s content through January 16. Timed tickets for skate sessions are on advance sale online and will run you $9 for an hour of romantic loops around the rink. All around you will be art, festive decorations and fun entertainment.

In addition to the regular skating, there will be some special events afoot. Thursday nights from 7 to 9:30, skip your typical happy hour for a round of skating to the tunes of DJ Howly. Or, if you prefer a ‘silent disco’ vibe, attend their Silent Night Skate Party on December 1, where the music will be piped in only through provided headphones. One Sunday morning each month there will be curling lessons for those with big dreams of going out for the winter Olympics team in 2018.

Whenever you decide to stop by, it’s hard to think of a more classic winter date idea than a round of skating, maybe followed by a cozy, hot drink. Pack your mittens—and try not to notice if it’s still 80 degrees outside.

The Pershing Square Holiday Ice Rink will be open Nov 10 to Jan 16, 2017. Hours vary by day over the course of the season. Advance tickets can be booked online. Ice skating is $9 for 60 minutes; skate rental is an additional $4.
