The Staples Center has become a bizarro world for Los Angeles basketball this year; the fourth-place Clippers are headed into the playoffs while the legendary Lakers wrap up the season in last place in the Western Conference. On top of that, the arena's most decorated champion will be stepping down for good on Wednesday.

Kobe Bryant will wrap up 20 seasons in the NBA—all of them with the Lakers—when he plays in his final game against the Utah Jazz on April 13. In his honor, the Lakers will host a special Kobe edition of their free fan fest before Wednesday's season finale.

Of particular interest, fans in attendance can win tickets to the evening's sold-out game. Considering that the cheapest one we could find on StubHub was going for $740, we'd gladly show up just for the chance at a gratis seat.

In addition, Lakers fans can pose with Kobe's five championship trophies, as well as the lovely Lakers Girls. The fan fest will also feature interactive games, a live DJ, face painters and a Kobe-dedicated signing wall.

If you happen to take Metro to the arena, you'll also notice that the Pico Station has been temporarily renamed to Kobe Station.

While you're in the area, make sure to check out the best places to eat and drink near LA Live, along with Downtown's most insane movie theater.

The Lakers fan fest takes place Wednesday, April 13 from 4 to 7pm outside of the Staples Center. Admission is free.
