1. Roam among the costumed crowds on Santa Monica Boulevard for the West Hollywood Halloween Costume Carnaval. The free, massive street party runs from 6 to 10:30pm.

2. Behold a screening of The Phantom of the Opera, the 1925 silent classic, with accompaniment from the Walt Disney Concert Hall's organ. Tickets to the 7:30pm event cost between $32 and $62.

3. Listen to legendary director and composer John Carpenter play through his eerie synthesizer-ridden soundtracks and original tunes. Tickets to the 7pm performance at the Hollywood Palladium cost $45.
