This morning, a beautiful and inspirational video was released by private committee LA 2024, who are orchestrating a bid for the 2024 Summer Olympics to take place in Los Angeles. In it, Angelenos of all stripes are asked where they'll be in 2024 against backdrops of iconic California sunsets and gyms full of young Olympic hopefuls. We couldn't help tearing up at the responses: a mix of love for this city and dreams for the future, whether in the form of gold medals or flying cars (Will Ferrell is pretty sure they're going to be a thing in the next eight years). Alongside Ferrell are stars like Kobe Bryant, Jessica Alba and Reggie Watts, as well as local celebs Roy Choi and Mayor Eric Garcetti.

Los Angeles is one of four candidate cities, along with Paris, France; Rome, Italy and Budapest, Hungary. Our city was chosen by the United States Olympic Committee over Boston, Washington DC and San Francisco. If we win, expect opening and closing ceremonies at the Coliseum, gymnastics at the Forum and mountain biking in the Santa Monica Mountains (for more information about the possible venues, click here).
