In a move that is sure to bring joy to Dodgers fans, Charter cable channel SportsNet LA and local broadcast television station KTLA5 have reached a deal to simulcast legendary radio announcer Vin Scully's final six regular-season games on screen as well as over the radio airwaves. The beloved radio announcer will retire at the end of the year.

Some local baseball fans have felt vexed since 2014 when the Charter-only SportsNet LA became the only way to watch televised Dodgers games, leaving satellite and broadcast-only viewers in the dark—though, of course, never without radio announcer Scully’s voice. This collaboration grants those viewers a rare opportunity to see the games from the comfort of their homes and to match up the visuals with the famous announcements.

"In Los Angeles, there's no greater sports franchise than the Los Angeles Dodgers, and in the history of baseball, there's been no greater voice than the incomparable Vin Scully," Don Corsini, KTLA5's president and general manager said in a press release announcing the collaboration. "We thank Charter and the entire Los Angeles Dodgers organization for the unique opportunity to honor the Dean of Sports Broadcasters, and share these iconic Dodgers games and moments with our entire KTLA5 Southern California community."

The SportsNet LA and KTLA5 television simulcasts featuring Scully’s voice-over announcements will kick off on September 23 with a pre-game celebration in honor of the broadcaster followed by the game. After that, you’ll be able to watch the games of September 25, 24 and 30 and October 1 and 2.
