Burbank is more than just TV show tapings and movie studio tours. The San Fernando Valley city stretches from Griffith Park to the Verdugo Mountains, with worthwhile restaurants, bars and shops in between. Whether heading over the hill for an IKEA run or coming from out of town, you'll find plenty more to keep you occupied in our guide to the best of Burbank.

Most of the city's best things to do are centered around its two most walkable areas: the tree-lined downtown district along San Fernando Boulevard as well as the eclectic Magnolia Boulevard. If you're visiting from out of town, you can fly into Bob Hope Airport—a low-key alternative to LAX—or get off at one of two Metrolink stops.
