If you're looking to take a studio tour (or trying your hand at pilot season), chances are you're going to want to stay in Burbank. Many of the Burbank hotels offer easy access to spots like Warner Brothers Studios, as well as Bob Hope Airport, the city's easygoing alternative to LAX. That said, Burbank is more than just movie studios and airports; the San Fernando Valley city is situated close to major attractions like Universal Studios, Griffith Park and the LA Zoo. Make the most of your stay in Los Angeles with a few nights at one of these Burbank hotels.

Its two-story structure centered around a parking lot may technically make the Tangerine Hotel a motel, but then it's easily the hippest motel in the Valley—think polished concrete floors and vibrant and colorful wall art. In addition to free Wi-Fi and parking, the hotel offers free breakfast with pastries from the beloved Porto’s Bakery. The hotel sits barely a block from the Warner Brothers Studios and is walking distance from Bob's Big Boy and the restaurants in neighboring Toluca Lake.

One of only a handful of hotels in Downtown Burbank, this spot sits only blocks from the restaurants and bars on the city's charming stretch of San Fernando Boulevard. Rooms at the extended stay hotel are spacious and tastefully decorated, and the courtyard building has a well-kept pool area and fitness center. Breakfast and Wi-Fi are included, as is a full-size kitchen in every room—you can even leave a grocery list with the front desk staff and come back to a stocked fridge. You'll have to pay for parking ($15 a night), though the covered lot is certainly convenient.

This motel's main attraction is its neon sign, with its Googie-style text and a spear and shield. But, of course, you're not staying here for the sign, you're more concerned about the comfort (and free Wi-Fi and parking). The 1955 hotel stays true to its name with zebra, leopard and giraffe prints in its clean, quiet but otherwise unassuming rooms. It's also a popular filming spot, acting as the setting for everything from Apollo 13 to True Romance, for which it hosts a dedicated fan fest.

If you can tolerate a little bit of freeway noise, you'll find plenty to like at this Burbank hotel. Rooms are spacious, with options ranging from simple king-sized beds to whirlpool suites. Walk into the lobby and you'll be treated to chips and guac in the afternoon and cookies in the evening. Minutes away from the Bob Hope Airport and just up the 5 from Downtown Burbank, other amenities include free breakfast and Wi-Fi (you'll have to pay $7.50 for valet parking, unless you're a Hilton member).

It's easy to confuse this low-key hotel with a condo complex from the outside. Inside, you'll find calm, bright and tasteful rooms. If the agreeable on-site restaurant and lounge aren't to your liking, consider walking across the street to the beloved breakfast spot Bea Bea's. Wi-Fi is free but the price to valet park is a bit hefty so you may want to consider street parking instead.
