Out in the desert, just off Route 111, what might seem like a mirage is something you'll definitely want to pull over for. From April 10 to 12, Airbnb is teaming up with Sabrina Carpenter to bring fans a glitter-drenched, sugar-fueled escape called Sabrina Carpenter’s Pit Stop.
Set in Indio, California, this isn’t your standard roadside break. It’s a full-on pop fantasy, dreamed up by Carpenter herself. With sparkly vintage cars, candy-colored details at every turn and a playful, anything-goes energy, it's a surreal daydream pulled straight from her universe—and the perfect place to take a break on your way to Coachella.
And yes, there’s plenty to do once you pull over. The Pit Stop doubles as a photo-op-filled wonderland, packed with highly stylized vignettes. There’s also a “refuel” station, but instead of gas, you’ll find custom slushie concoctions. Add in candy-inspired art installations and limited-edition merch, and you’ve got a pop-up that's all about unfettered indulgence.
The event is open to the public over three days, with staggered hours that make it easy to swing by between festival sets or on your way through the desert. But for fans who want something a little more exclusive, Airbnb is also offering a limited number of bookable experiences. These sessions come with early access, smaller crowds and a few surprises thrown in for good measure. Even better, they’re free to book, though spots are limited and likely to go fast.
So if you’re anywhere near Indio that weekend, include some extra time for a detour. Not for fuel, but for something far more fun and totally Sabrina.
