Los Angeles is going to the dogs, the cats, and maybe even a few lizards.

PetCon, the OG pet convention that’s been winning hearts since 2017, is making its grand return to L.A. on October 4 and 5. This year, the two-day festival of fur and fun is setting up shop at adoption partner Wallis Annenberg's PetSpace in Playa Vista. The best part? Every dollar from ticket sales goes straight to the PetSpace Extraordinary Care Fund, meaning your pass doesn’t just buy you access to the cutest weekend of the year—it also helps animals in need.

PetCon is basically Disneyland for pet parents. Expect endless Instagram-worthy moments, whether you’re snapping selfies with famous four-legged influencers like Tika the Iggy, Coco & Cici, Akira the Black Pit Bull and Dexter the Balancing Dog, or getting a custom portrait of your own furry friend. For the competitive set, there’s a Halloween costume contest that guarantees some over-the-top looks you’ll be talking about long after spooky season is over. Think of it as a dress rehearsal for your costume later in the month.

But it’s not all about posing and posting. This year’s lineup of interactive activations is stacked with goodies and experiences from pet-focused brands. Home2 Suites by Hilton is back as the official hotel partner, Pet Teezer is showing off their pro grooming tools, Fi is loading up gift bags with GPS and health trackers and Woof Gang Bakery is setting up a picture-perfect backdrop for pups. Meanwhile, expert speakers will dive into everything from training tips to how to make your dog the next viral star.

Of course, the biggest heartstring-tugger is adoption. Throughout the weekend, attendees can meet pets from Wallis Annenberg PetSpace looking for forever homes, with the staff on hand to guide you through the process of bringing home your new best friend. Last year, PetCon raised over $21,000 for PetSpace, and with this year’s expansion to two days, that number is sure to increase.

Single-day passes start at $33.85, and if you’re the type who needs more than a day to pet every dog in the room (and really, who isn’t?), two-day tickets are also available. Grab yours at petcon.co and prepare for the happiest, furriest weekend in Los Angeles.
