If you’ve spotted the latest issue of our magazine out in the wild, you may have come across our feature on L.A.’s best up-and-coming comedians. In celebration of our annual “comedians to watch” list, nine of our picks came together last night for an evening of stand-up at the Downtown Independent.
Jane Borden—who expertly curated the list and brought together all of the comedians—hosted the evening, which included performances by Joel Kim Booster, Kimberly Clark, Lizzy Cooperman, Chris Estrada, Caitlin Gill, James Austin Johnson, Jak Knight, Zach Noe Towers and Paige Weldon. We may be biased, but we’d rank last night’s show among one of our favorites—seriously, where else can you see nine comedians all kill it onstage without any duds?
