Get ready to step into the Upside Down one last time. Stranger Things is coming to an end, and Netflix is planning a farewell worthy of Hawkins’ finest. The global premiere of Stranger Things season 5 takes place in Los Angeles on November 6 (aka “Stranger Things Day”) and, for once, it’s not just for the press and A-listers. Netflix is inviting fans to join in on the action with red carpet access, livestreams and special fan events happening around the country.
The main event unfolds at the world premiere in L.A., where cast members, including Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, David Harbour and Sadie Sink, are expected to walk the red carpet. For fans hoping to catch a glimpse, Netflix has confirmed that a limited number of folks will be able to attend the premiere through its official “red carpet fan experience.” Registration for access can be found here on a first-come, first-served basis. Those selected will get to line the red carpet, watch arrivals and see the stars up close as they greet the crowd.
Even if you don’t snag a red carpet spot, there are still ways to join the party. Netflix will livestream the event globally, with cast interviews, behind-the-scenes segments and a few surprises teased for viewers at home.
If you’re in Los Angeles and can't make it to the red carpet premiere, you'll have another chance to join in on the celebration. The November 23 One Last Ride, a partnership between Netflix and CicLAvia, will bring fans together to bike, skate or stroll along a car-free stretch of Melrose Avenue in honor of the final season.
With season 5 promising an emotional end, the premiere doubles as both a celebration and a goodbye. For the fans who’ve grown up with Eleven and her friends, it’s the ultimate chance to say thank you. And, maybe, if luck’s on your side, get a wave (or photo) from the cast themselves.
Mark your calendars for November 6 and keep your eyes on Netflix’s official Stranger Things pages for more details. After all, in Hawkins—and Hollywood—you never know what might happen next.
