Each year, the World's 50 Best Hotels identifies the absolute best places to stay around the globe. But with so many amazing hotels, extending the selection to a longlist of 51 to 100 is necessary. And along with stunning hotels from destinations like Paris, Tokyo, London and Maldives—all offering escapist glamour and exceptional service—two iconic Los Angeles properties officially made the longlist again this year, two of just a handful of U.S. hotels.

Landing at number 57 is the legendary Hotel Bel-Air. Set across 12 acres of lush subtropical gardens in the heart of Los Angeles, this storied estate is the true embodiment of Old Hollywood glamour. The property boasts over 1,200 plant species—from fragrant jasmine and fruit trees to the striking purple lonchocarpus draped over the restaurant’s al fresco terrace. Close behind at number 65 is The Beverly Hills Hotel, which also appears on Time Out's list of the most beautiful hotels in the world. Immortalized on the cover of the Eagles' iconic 1976 album Hotel California, the hotel retains its famous salmon-pink exterior and country-club charm.
