One of our favorite West Hollywood restaurants—and our favorite rooftop in town—is bringing back its Aussie Day BBQ, and this year, it couldn't be for a better cause.
E.P./L.P., founded by Aussies Grant Smillie and David Combes, is celebrating Australia's national day with a major rooftop party and grill-out: Running from noon to 8pm, the Great Aussie BBQ is an entire afternoon devoted to an all-out Oz takeover with food available for purchase—and with 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting Australia's bushfire relief.
You can make donations to the American Australian Association's bushfire relief fund at the door, and your purchases for the likes of sausage in bread; Kerwee wagyu strips; and plenty of beer throughout the day will also benefit that fund. What's more, 100 percent of lunch proceeds in the E.P. restaurant downstairs will serve the fund, too, which means dishes such as Australian abalone and Skull Island prawns will be doing delicious work for a great cause, too.
Want to help even more? There'll be raffles held throughout the day and, you guessed it, tickets raise money for bushfire relief, too. So, really, we'll see you on the 26th for a pint and some bangers, yeah?
