Why did the chicken cross the country? To get to this pop-up in Los Angeles.
When an unstoppable fried-chicken force meets an immovably great pizza spot, you can bet there's chicken parm afoot: That's especially the case on January 27, when one of Chicago's best fried chicken restaurants—Honey Butter Fried Chicken—pops up in the Brentwood location of Pizzana.
Honey Butter chefs and co-owners Josh Kulp and Christine Cikowski are bringing their beloved bird to Daniele Uditi's pizzeria, slinging a couple items unique to their CHI restaurant, plus a one-day-only chicken parm option: a true best-of-both-worlds situation.
From 11am to 9pm—or until they sell out—head to Brentwood to find Honey Butter's The OG sandwich, which stacks fried chicken strips with candied-jalapeño mayo and crunchy slaw ($16); the namesake sandwich, featuring fried chicken strips and honey butter ($16); and the chicken parm, made with fried Jidori chicken thigh, San Marzano tomatoes, fior di latte cheese, parmesan crisp and basil ($18). Maybe bring a friend or two to try all three.
