Irv's Burgers has been through a lot. The fast food stand, which originally opened as Queensburger in 1950, was on the brink of closing for good in 2013 when a battle over rent ensued. But the Hong family—the owners of Irv's Burgers since 2000—wasn't ready to give up the fight. They moved to a new West Hollywood location in 2014, and have continued serving outstanding patties since then. Fans continue to flock to Irv's not only for the incredible cheeseburgers, but for the unusually cheery customer service, which includes getting personalized doodles on your paper plate. Trust us, it'll make your day.

Craving a simple cheeseburger and don't have time to drive to Pasadena's Pie 'n Burger or wait amongst the tourist hordes at In-n-Out?  GO TO IRV'S!  Fresh ingredients, classic construction, no frills = great burger.  Fries are delicious too.  Service is always with a smile and often comes with a hand drawn inscription or small portrait on your paper plate.  Quick, easy, this place is perfect whether you need satisfying lunch or just want to check off one of LA's numerous burger joints from your list.

Great burgers and fries, but even better service. They really go out of their way to make you feel welcomed. An institution for decades, I just can't imagine a Weho without Irv's.

The burgers at Irv's are truly some of the best in town. The bun is light and airy while the meat is flavorful and delicious. I'd say go straight for the double cheeseburger and fries. To top it all off each plate comes with a personalized message, you'd need a heart of stone to not love that.
