One of the most underrated vegetarian/vegan dining destinations in the city, Margo’s serves the plumpest, freshest produce from the Santa Monica Farmers’ Market just a few miles away. Chef Blake Thorson’s menu is approachable, giving familiar favorite memorable twists—think jalapeño mashed pea toast rather than avocado and a Nashville hot sandwich made with double-dredged shiitake mushrooms. The pizzas here are delicious as well, and there’s even a breakfast pizza during weekend brunch made with “sausage,” plant-based egg substitute, cashew mozzarella and maple syrup drizzle.
