Located in Old Town Pasadena, this family-run French bistro with an extended patio out front serves uncomplicated fare like steak tartare, escargots and moules frites without much fanfare. The simply decorated dining room serves as an unfussy backdrop for chef Dean Yasharian's delicious cuisine, including a standout tarte tatin. For those trying to splurge on a fancy French dinner, there's caviar service and a pricey Dover sole. On the weekends, Perle also hosts a weekend brunch (10am–1:30pm) that includes housemade croissants and soft scrambled eggs with freshly shaved Périgord truffles.
