Eat sweets and stomp out hate during this bake sale on the patio of Historic Filipinotown’s Woon. The wine enthusiasts at Pinkies Up have decided to turn their attention toward the spate of anti-Asian-American hate crimes over the past year with a socially distanced fund raiser for charity.
It’s a seriously delicious lineup of baked goods from some of the city’s very best, including Doubting Thomas, Proof Bakery, Valerie Confections, Fat & Flour and All Day Baby, along with some other donated goods from the likes of Sightglass Coffee and floral studio Under New MGMT.
Swing by on Sunday, March 7 from 10am to 2pm (or until supplies run out); only Venmo and cash payments will be accepted. All of the proceeds will support organizations that provide community aid and support such as APENEJ, Asian Prisoner Support Committee, APIENC, Asian Law Caucus and Stop AAPI Hate.
