Time Out says

L.A. loves a drive-in, and for one weekend in Westchester, the age-old pastime is going Thai: Multigenerational restaurant Ayara Thai Cuisine is flipping its parking lot to a drive-in theater for a weekend of flicks and snacks.

From July 31 to August 2, Ayara is teaming up with the Tourism Authority of Thailand in celebration of the restaurant’s 16th birthday, screening Thai movies, which all come complete with a snack pack to enjoy while you watch.

Tickets for each night run $50 per car and include your choice of two fountain drinks, plus bags of Thai Lay’s potato chips, Thai fried bananas, curry popcorn, and Thai candied peanuts—and $30 from every ticket benefits the Thai Elephant Alliance. Craving a more substantial meal from Ayara? A special menu will be available, too, in case you’re in the mood for pad Thai chicken nachos, a few fried sweet potato doughnuts, or maybe a Thai sai oua lemongrass pork sausage in a potato roll with nam prik num relish.

On Friday, July 31, drive in for romantic comedy Bangkok Traffic (Love) Story, while Saturday, August 1, screens Thai horror film Laddaland. Lastly, closing out the series, you can catch heist thriller Bad Genius on Sunday, August 2. Tickets can only be purchased in advance. Doors at 6:30pm, movie begins at 8:30pm
