Time Out says

You're never really left unsatisfied when you watch a movie starring Danny Trejo, so why should you be any less happy with his food? The Latin-American movie star has crossed over to the list of celebrities who own restaurants; at Trejo's Tacos, you can find fried chicken tacos, shrimp toastadas and plenty of vegan options, like the black pepper tofu taco. Wash it down with seasonally sourced aguas frescas or Mexican Coca Cola.

I'm normally weary of attending celebrity endorsed restaurants, but Trejo's is solid. If you're looking for quick place to grab a craft beer, have a couple cheap tacos, and watch a game Trejo's is a decebt option. I would recommend going during the after/early evening for when they have a la carte tacos. Bonus if you're a vegetarian/vegan they have unique and tasty tacos like the black pepper tofu and cauliflower.

Not bad by any stretch, but certainly not amongst my favorite tacos in the city. They have some interesting taco combinations (cauliflower, black pepper tofu, salmon) & a decent selection of craft beer. But for the relatively expensive prices of the tacos (not to mention the casual digs), the tacos didn't taste like they were worth the money. Nothing against Trejos Tacos, it's a perfectly acceptable restaurant. However, I prefer to spend my taco money at somewhere like Guisados.

Super solid spot! There's usually a line, but the food (though pricy) is worth it. There are veggie options, along with more traditional offerings and new twists, like grilled salmon. They were BLASTING Rihanna when we were there, which other patrons seemed to enjoy but I was not super into. It's a taco spot, not a club. Otherwise, good ambiance, comfy outdoor seating and friendly waitstaff.
