If you ever dreamed about weaving your own macrame wall hanging or a cozy throw blanket, West Elm has you covered. Come June 1, the home goods and furniture retailer is hosting a beginners workshop for those who want to try their hand at the loom. You'll learn the basics—from assembling a standard loom to beginner techniques—using materials like a tapestry needle, warp thread, beater fork and dowels. (If you don't know what those terms are, take the class to find out). Plus, once you're done with the workshop, weave your way up to Third Street Promenade for some shopping and dining.
