A major highlight in Montreal during the summer is watching the sky light up at 10 p.m. until August 10 thanks to l’International des Feux Loto-Québec.

And while one of our favourite spots to take in the show is on Clock Tower Beach while sipping a cocktail, sometimes we want something a little more secluded.

Here are our 3 secret spots for watching the fireworks this summer:

1. Summit Circle Lookout

Everyone knows about Mont Royal Belvédère Kondiaronk Park's lookout, but its little sibling—Summit Circle—is one of the city’s best kept secrets.

If you like unobstructed views of Montreal’s west end combined with very few visitors, this is the spot for you. Follow Belvedere Road to Summit Road if you’re travelling from the east, or along Sunnyside Avenue to Upper Bellevue if you’re coming from the west.

2. Club Unity

Free admission to this large, legendary rooftop terrace is only one of the reasons it’s one of the most popular night spots in the Village. Expect 360° views of the Montreal skyline from the rooftop patio and its dedicated bar. And while the fireworks may start at 10 p.m., the club keeps the party going until late.

3. The Petit Navire

Get an unforgettable front seat for the light show from the water. The Petit Navire, a fleet of 100% electric boats, leaves Jacques-Cartier Pier and heads west until facing the Jacques-Cartier Bridge—and the breathtaking views of the International des feux Loto-Québec.
