The kids will surely love this one: the Newark Museum of Art has just announced the opening of "Animal Kingdom," a new immersive exhibit that explores the concept of ecology and nature through art, digital workshops and more.
Opening on September 23 through May 2024, the show will feature, among a variety of offerings, an animal-matching game with ancient cave drawings and a digital recreation of three ecosystems, including highlights regarding endangered and extinct species that once called them home.
The show's piece de resistance, though, will be "Sketch Aquarium: Connected World," an interactive digital installation by teamLab where "visitors will be able to draw their own sea creatures to join an underwater habitat where animals come to life and swim in a virtual aquarium," reads an official press release.
