At this two-day Brooklyn Museum of Music event, hear from up-and-coming artists who have been mentored by the pros in two years of creative collaboration. As part of Rolex Arts Weekend, the proteges will present new work developed during the period of creative collaboration with their mentors, including Spike Lee, Phyllida Lloyd, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and Carrie Mae Weems.
The weekend features public conversations, performances, and installations with world-renowned artists. One of the highlights of the weekend will be a discussion moderated by BAM President Gina Duncan with the mentors titled “From Generation to Generation,” on the experience of mentorship in the arts.
