This underground speakeasy is curiously hidden inside the 28th Street subway station. But to enter it, you need to go above ground and find a single buzzer hidden on 28th Street. Press it and soon a well-dressed hostess will come to the door, ask for your reservation (it is good if you have one) and take you down the stairs to the red room that is La Noxe. The red-tinted room isn't much bigger than a studio space but is plenty cozy with stools that face a glowing bar and velvet couches for cocktails, and eventual canoodling if you bring a date. Once you are properly liquored, you exit through a side door that leads you back to the train so you can be well on your way.
