Time Out says

Take your Tuesday evening to the next level by indulging in some of the finest and rarest whiskies around. Pure Malts is running an in-person tasting event on Tuesday, January 23 at Copper & Oak on the Lower East Side.

The event's called a Gold Tasting, meaning it embodies the best of the best with ultra-rare bottles. They'll partner with Ewan Morgan, National Luxury Ambassador and Head of Whisky Outreach at Diageo to present the Ascot Malt Cellar Collection, a series of bottles offered back in the 1980s and consisting of highly coveted bottles of Rosebank, Talisker, Lagavulin, Linkwood and more.

Here's the tasting lineup: The Strathconon 12 year, Glenleven 12 year, Royal Lochnagar 12 year, Linkwood 12 year, Rosebank 8 year, Talisker 8 year, and Lagavulin 12 year.

Pure Malts is run by James Walton, a whisky connoisseur who wanted to change the game in whiskey culture, moving away from it being seen as a "man's drink" or something to knock back in high-proof shots. His friendly and welcoming tasting events celebrate the whiskies and the art of conversation among guests. As he puts it: "I often say that we are drinking the world’s best spirits, but the company we keep is still always much better!"
