Spring and summer months in New York translate to hours of sipping brews in beer gardens, eating brunch alfresco and spending quality time in the sun at the city's best food and booze festivals. Thanks to the Central Park Zoo, the outdoor drinking scene is about to get a little wild. In June, the tourist hotspot will host New York's party animals for an after-hours craft beer bonanza aptly named Lions, Tigers, and Brews.

Brought to the concrete jungle by the same team behind the suds-and-swine blowout Bacon and Beer Classic, the drinking palooza will run from 8-11pm on both Friday, June 19 and Saturday, June 20. It'll be an all-out animal house complete with live brass bands, DJ sets and unlimited three-ounce samples from more than 100 craft brewers, including Sixpoint, Brooklyn, Ommegang. Cider lovers will also have a few options, such as Original Sin and Virtue. Stay tuned for details on the local food vendors and trucks who'll be on the scene.

General admission ($49) gets you three hours of tastings, a souvenir beer glass and entry to the costume contest (we're expecting a few Cowardly Lion getups), but VIP ticketholders ($69) will get an extra hour of boozing, plus access to animal habitats like the Tropics, Penguin house and a late-night Sea Lion show.
