Next week, British sex toy brand Hot Octopuss launches The Changing Room: By Queen Bee, a two-day pop-up at which NYC women can chat with a sex therapist and put her tips to use on the spot with a free vibrator.
Upon entering the salon, guests will enter private consultations with sex therapist and "orgasm stylist" Diana Barone. After receiving tips on self-pleasure and masturbation techniques, participants slip on fancy robes and head into a "changing room," where they'll be able to take the Octopuss's crown jewel vibrator, the Queen Bee, for a spin. The private room will even feature music, chosen by members of the Octopuss social network. If you like the toy, it's yours to keep. Not bad for a $149 waterproof vibrator, though it's unclear how it compares to Gwyneth Paltrow's $15,000 gold dildo.
Known for creating the world's first Guybrator, Hot Octopuss is now on a mission to inspire women to be open about their pleasure. And nothing is more pleasurable to New Yorkers than a pop-up.
The Changing Room is open Thursday, August 10 from 10am–7pm and Friday August 11 from 10am–6pm at 160 Orchard St. The sessions (and the vibrators) are free, but you must reserve your spot ASAP to get in.
