At the Ugly Sweater Run in support of nonprofit organization Save the Children, tacky is not just encouraged, it's necessary. The charity-driven 5K happens this Saturday at Citi Field, but don't get your ratty yarn in a bunch just yet because there's still time to register for just $55, or $60 if you're tacking on a $5 donation to Save The Children. You can even sign up on the day of the race by heading to Citi Field in Queens between 9am–11am to pick up your packet.

Head to McFadden’s at Citi Field from 1:30pm–4pm after the race to cool off your sweater (sweaty)-ridden self with an ice cold Boston Lager or Angry Orchard at the afterparty. And if you'd rather stay snuggly and warm, there will also be unlimited hot chocolate. Also included in your registration is a vintage knit hat, a drawstring bag and a chance to win ugly sweater contest prizes.

If you'd rather not run but are quite inspired by a good holiday cardigan, you can sign up to be a volunteer! Just contact volunteer@humanmovement.me and, if they still need people, you'll be given a Santa hat, a free drink after the race and the wonderful chance to guide hundreds of people on a wool-laden journey through Citi Field.
