We’ll be partying on New Year’s Eve in a hot minute. But once the ball drops, it’s time to start thinking about your resolutions for 2016. Are you vowing to improve your fitness routine for the, er, fifth year in a row? We feel you: Staying fit is hard—and expensive! But thanks to these free fitness deals, it looks like we’re officially running out of excuses for refusing to put down the remote. So long, Netflix!

Awaken Your Inner Force Workout

When it comes to working on your fitness, Yoda has the right mindset: "Do or do not, there is no try." Take a hint from the Jedi master (a.k.a instructor Amira Lam) and sign-up for New York Sports Club's Star Wars-themed workout. The 45-minute choreographed, strength-based routine includes martial arts moves, cardiovascular and strength exercises using a light saber. The best part? The workout is free to members and nonmembers alike. Just show up early at the Soho and Chelsea locations to sign up before the class begins.

Athleta Open Studios

If you haven’t heard, activewear line Athleta expanded its Flatiron storefront and added a a full-blown fitness studio in the basement. The best part, of course, is that all the programmin—up to five classes offered per day—is totally free. The room can accommodate up to 30 people at a time and there are plenty of fun and effective classes to choose from. We recommend SASS Dance with Gotham City Cheerleaders, Power Flow Yoga and Studio Class: Total Mind Body Re-Mix. Simply head to the brand's website (www.stores.athleta.net) to reserve your spot.

Shape Up NYC

Getting in shape is easy (okay, easier) thanks to Shape Up NYC, a free program that offers various levels of classes from dozens of locations in all five boroughs. Every workout is taught by legitimate instructors, and with options from aerobics to Pilates and Zumba to kick-boxing, you’ll have no trouble finding a sweat-sesh that works for you.

Sweaty Saturday + In-store Yoga at LuLulemon

Start your weekend in an energizing way by signing up for a sweat-inducing indoor workout (9–10am) led by all-star fitness instructors from one of the many studios in Meatpacking. You can also rock your pricey (but totally worth it) yoga pants during a complimentary one-hour vinyasa/hatha yoga class every Sunday (10–11am) to, y’know, end the weekend on a Zen note. FYI: Mats will be provided. (R.S.V.P. at meatpacking-store@lululemon.com.)

Lolë New Year, New You Run

Are you new to the fitness game and need a little moral support? Don’t sweat it—Lolë’s run club is perfect fitness routine for beginners. And all paces are welcome! Grab your sneaks and meet up with your fellow joggers at the Soho store (112 Mercer St) on January 4 at 6:30pm to kick off your Rocky moment. Showing up is totally worth it—you’ll receive 20 percent off any in-store purchase and snag a free headband, too.
