Is it worth it? Probably.

To celebrate the launch of their NoMad store, funky DC pizza spot &pizza is offering free pie to the first 212 customers to show up on its opening day June 20, and free pizza for a year to the first 22 customers who volunteer to permanently ink the ampersand symbol on themselves. While it sounds insane, apparently &pizza has plenty of devotees in their "tribe" of employees who have happily tattooed themselves with the punctuation mark. On the 20th, black cars will be available to shuttle willing volunteers to First Class tattoo to etch in the immortal marketing tool.

Fortunately for the inkees, the well-priced pizza actually looks pretty good. Baked in round rectangular shapes, some of &pizza's iconic dishes include the egg-topped breakfast pizza (the Farmer's Daughter) and the loaded Salad Pizza. The NYC location will feature cereal milk cream soda from Milk Bar and hot honey from Mike's. You can learn more about &pizza on their site, and check out what one of these glorious tats looks like below.
