With cooler temperatures sweeping into town and rumors swirling about the pumpkin spice latte’s seasonal debut, there’s no doubt about it: fall is right around the corner.

The thought of changing leaves, sweater weather and spiced beverages sounds downright heavenly after a hot and humid summer. Kick off the city’s best season (yep, we said it) with a Hudson River cruise that checks not one, but two things to do off your fall bucket list: leaf peeping and celebrating Oktoberfest.

Starting next month, the Circle Line resumes its popular Bear Mountain Full-Day Cruise. On your way to Bear Mountain State Park, you’ll take in gorgeous views of the George Washington Bridge, Little Red Lighthouse and Tappan Zee Bridge. Once you arrive, you have three hours to wander some of the 50-plus hiking trails, visit the Trailside Museums and Zoo or just take in the fall foliage.

As if that weren’t enough, the boat ride doubles as an Oktoberfest celebration. Sip seasonal Warsteiner beer as you listen to live polka and oom-pah bands. Suds lovers can also buy a commemorative mug on board for $35 for free refills all day long. And if all that beer makes you hungry, you can order authentic German favorites like schnitzel, bratwurst and Bavarian pretzels from the cafe.

The Circle Line: Bear Mountain Full-Day Cruise makes its first voyage of the year on September 23, and continues every Saturday and Sunday until November 5. Book your tickets now to reserve your spot. Bon voyage!
