Remember the gorgeous floating park we told you about in March? Swale, the company that relaunched its floating food forest this past April, is still making its way around New York Harbor. And, yes, you can still nab fresh and free produce from the park’s garden.

Aside from getting your hands dirty, the verdant vessel is also teaming up with local event organizers to host food and beverage tastings. Coming up next month is a special Amaro and Herbalism event with Atlas Obscura Society and Ravenous Craft.

During the event, guests will have an opportunity to explore the Italian liqueur amaro, which reaps many herbal and medicinal qualities. There will be a guest historian and herbalist onboard to fill you in on this powerful elixir. You’ll even try your hand at concocting your own amaro after tasting five district Amari from around Italy and trying one specialty cocktail.

The bash will be held at sunset on Wednesday, Sept 20 from 6 to 8pm. Tickets are $45. Scoop ‘em up while you can!

The new location for Swale's floating food forest will be confirmed soon.
