Feasting on dessert for a good cause? Don't mind if we do! From Monday, September 8th through Sunday, September 21st, nonprofit Citymeals-on-Wheels—which delivers more than two million meals a year to elderly New Yorkers—will partner with some of the city's top restaurants for their "Sweet September" initiative. To raise awareness and funds for the organization, eateries including DBGB, Rôtisserie Georgette and Telepan will offer a "Sweet September" dessert on their menus and for every item sold, the restaurant will donate $1 to the charity. Check out the full lineup of participating restaurants and their do-gooder goodies below:
Aureole: Vacherin (Crystallized Violet, Red Velvet Cake, Tahitian Vanilla Ice Cream)
DBGB Kitchen & Bar: Mocha Sundae (chocolate ice cream, coffee sauce, hazelnut crumble, brownie and dark chocolate tuile, finished with whipped cream)
Make My Cake: “Citymeals” Cupcakes and Sweet Potato Pound Cake
Michael Jordan’s The Steak House N.Y. C.: All a la carte desserts
Rôtisserie Georgette: Tarte Tatin for Two
Schnipper Restaurants: Every milkshake
Sprinkles Cupcakes, Cookies and Ice Cream: Every cookie or brownie
