It’s time to quit your wine-ing. After years of having to suffer through a second-rate local beer scene, NYC has finally become a bonafide brewing mecca. After Sixpoint and Brooklyn Brewery helped revive the scene, New York now has a whopping 20 breweries operating within its city limits. (We’ll drink to that that!) This week, we take a look at some of the brewers leading the way in the city’s suds revival (Threes Brewing, Finback Brewery) and find out how Bushwick is working to regain its title as New York’s brewing capital. We also fill you in on which Beer Week events are worth hitting up, and which local brews are best for the hop-averse.

This week we also take a look inside the meticulously restored Kings Theatre—as it finally re-opens after being shuttered for 37 years—and tell you what Valentine’s Day events are worth going to this year. Plus, reviews for Via Carota and End of the Century Bar (both great!), David Duchovny on his new book Holy Cow and an interview with the Wachoswki siblings about their riskiest film yet, Jupiter Ascending.

Groundhog Chuck saw his shadow! Might as well get out there and enjoy our extra six weeks of winter.
