You know the NYC walk where you don't look up, around, or anywhere that's not you're next destination? We all do it, but Open House New York is hosting a night that'll remind you just how amazing the lights of New York City really are. For the first time ever, Open House New York is teaming up with the Illuminating Engineering Society's New York City Section (IESNYC) for “OHNY at Night,” an evening of tours dedicated to the lighting design of NYC.

Participants can choose from tours of ten significant exterior lighting design projects by award-winning lighting designers. You'll get the low-down on how NYC uses its light and how the art of lighting in Manhattan is the driving force to what makes this city what it is. You can check out OHNY's detailed tour descriptions Sep 30. Reservations open on October 1, so save the date if you want a spot on this illuminated journey through our concrete jungle.

Also, be sure to check out the 12th Annual Open House New York Weekend coming up Oct 11-12 where New Yorkers celebrate the architecture and design with tons of special access tours, talks and performances in all five boroughs.
