On Thursday, September 7, at 7pm, RuPaul's Drag Race season nine winner Sasha Velour and other next-level NYC drag performers will throw a launch party for the new photo book DRAGS at the Highline Ballroom.
DRAGS, a project by photographer Gregory Kramer, contains intimate portraits of more than 30 famous drag queens and kings. Among the snapshots, the book contains five stories that dig into the details of queens' lives beyond the drag scene, and the barriers that are still in place for much of the community. Proceeds from the book will benefit the Ali Forney Center, the largest homeless shelter for LGBTQ youth in New York.
