Melissa McCarthy confronts, makes out with Trump on SNL

Melissa McCarthy returned to Saturday Night Live this weekend, marking her fifth turn as host of the show. She reprised her impression of White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer, took several pies to the face in a gag sketch dubbed "Just Desserts" and was cornered into listening to cast members Leslie Jones and Kyle Mooney complain about their fictional marriage.

It would be hard to imagine a more ideal week for her to host, what with the firing of FBI Director James Comey and reports of Spicer avoiding the press by hiding in (or among) a set of bushes at the White House. The events that took place in Washington D.C. over the last week proved to be great source material for McCarthy and company, as she whipped out a set of Russian dolls to claim that there was no collusion by the country during the 2016 election, threw a pillar at the press corps and headed to Trump Tower in Manhattan to confront the president (played by Alec Baldwin) about the legitimacy of their relationship.

The skit explains why McCarthy was seen driving a motorized podium through Midtown in full Spicer costume on Friday, and ends in a full-blown make out session between the president and his press secretary. So long as Spicer doesn't get fired, one can expect McCarthy to continue to make guest appearances on the show.
