Michael Moore cried when he voted for Obama (and other revelations from last night's screening)

Michael Moore is not resting easy. Even though the polls show Donald Trump in the toilet, the filmmaker told last night's lucky audience for the world premiere of his surprise stand-up film Michael Moore in TrumpLand that stranger things have happened. ""Remember Kaitlyn? We all thought she was going go with Nick, and she picked Shawn on The Bachelorette." Just as the crowd was processing the idea of a Michael Moore who watched The Bachelorette, the lefty filmmaker continued. "Jennifer Hudson lost on American Idol—our fellow Americans voted for Fantasia!" Moore's message in a nutshell? "Don't let Fantasia win on November 8th!" he yelled to a huge laugh.

Every seat was filled for Moore's hastily organized world premiere. (Our review of the movie is forthcoming.) The audience was treated to some choice commentary from Moore during a lengthy Q&A given after the 75-minute film concluded. Among the juicier tidbits: Moore says he literally wept on his ballot when he voted for Obama in 2008—and got worried that his tears would smear his Michigan felt-pen ballot and void it. And for us cosseted New Yorkers, Moore offered news from "behind the wall, where the White Walkers are—beyond the Hudson River." The guy knows his Game of Thrones too.
