Morgenstern's is making butt flavored ice cream

With the Olympic Games going full steam in Rio this month, summer 2016 is all about Brazil. New York City might be far away from the action, but it’s getting a taste—literally—of a vida brasileira this week, courtesy of a three-day pop-up shop run by Sol de Janeiro, one of Brazil’s most beloved beauty brands. The company’s “Brazilian Bum Bum Cream” promises to firm and tone your behind to the tautness of an Olympian athlete’s, but the cream’s effects might well be undone when you tuck into a cone of Brazilian Bum Bum ice cream, a pistachio-caramel scoop inspired by the cream that’s being churned by Lower East Side favorite Morgenstern’s Finest Ice Cream through this Friday.

Located at 2 Rivington Street right next door to the lauded old-school ice cream parlor, the pop-up, running through tomorrow, will vend the aforementioned cream as well as Samba 2-Step, a revitalizing foot cream, and Brazilian Golden Body Veil, a bleach that promises to transform body hair into “golden peach fuzz.” No word yet on whether Morgenstern’s will work that idea into a fruit sorbet, but stop by the pop-up anytime through tomorrow for a free voucher for the Bum Bum—and discover what butt cream tastes like.
