Morgenstern's launches chef-inspired ice-cream series this weekend

Winter may be coming, but even the most blistery-cold temperatures can't keep us away from ice cream. Looks like the same could be said for the crew at Morgenstern's Finest Ice Cream, who are partnering with restaurants around town—including Cheap Eats favorites like Bun-ker and El Rey Coffee Bar & Luncheonette—for special chef flavors debuting November 1st and running through January 2nd. Take a gander at the delicious-sounding weekly line-up below:

Ivan Ramen
The flavor: Tokyo Yuzu Shio Crunch (salted-yuzu ice cream with buckwheat cookies)
Available: November 1–7

The flavor:
Sailor's Delight (saffron-almond ice cream with tangerine jam)
Available: November 8–14

The Cannibal
The flavor: Radler Shandy (wheat-beer ice cream with Life cereal)
Available: November 15–21

The flavor: Bun-ker Chunk (Vietnamese mint, shiso leaf, lemongrass and Thai purple-basil ice cream with chocolate chunks)
Available: November 22–28

El Rey Coffee Bar & Luncheonette
The flavor: Mexican Mocha (Abuelita chocolate ice cream with coffee, cardamom and fresh peppermint)
Available: November 29–December 5

The flavor: Oligato! (Moka ice cream with kalamata crisps)
Available: December 6–12

Parlor Coffee
The flavor: Fig Jam Karatu (Kenyan-coffee ice cream with white-pepper fig jam)
Available: December 13–19

The flavor: Oohbae Avocado Latik (purple yam and avocado ice creams with caramelized coconut sugar)
Available: December 20–26

The flavor: Bobby's Peanut Butter Crunch (peanut-butterscotch ice cream with butter-crunch cookies)
