Perhaps the “Rent Is Too Damn High” guy would have had better luck garnering support if he tackled the real issue, the “Drink Prices Are Too Damn High.” Thankfully FullGlass, a new app launched today, tackles that common NYC complaint with gusto and a plan to help you drink more for less.
The exclusively New York City app, FullGlass, has partnered with 75 bars and counting to bring you two-for-one drinks. All you have to do is pull up the bar you’re at, click the deal and show your server. You can do this as many times you’d like at the bar you’re at or any of the other participating bars, there is no limit. The individual bars do get to specify the drinks, but in most cases it’s beer, wine or well drinks (aka what you’re drinking already.)
The app features a map function to find your nearest watering hole or you can use the full list which features real photos (not terrible user submitted ones) of the bars and lists their respective offers. The service isn’t free, BUT will only run you $10 a month. So, use it once, maybe twice and its already paid for itself.
