Dominique Ansel and Alex Stupak's ice-cream taco mash-up ended its sweet run on Sunday, July 17th, but New York didn't have to mourn the loss of the upscale Choco Taco for too long.

"Reverse speakeasy" dinnertable is serving a Taco Cioccolato ($8), composed of a house-made pizzelle-cookie shell that's filled with from-scratch Nutella brownie–studded espresso gelato. The shell is then dipped in 53-percent dark chocolate and topped with salty hazelnuts.

It's on the restaurant's regular dessert menu, but a limited number of the ice-cream tacos will also be available at the Garret East—the East Village cocktail bar in which dinnertable is hidden—on August 2nd to celebrate National Ice Cream Sandwich Day.
