New York's largest menorah lighting kicks off tomorrow

Hanukkah is here and you know what that means. It's time to light the menorah, friends! Celebrate the festival of lights (which begins tomorrow at sundown) at The World's Largest Menorah lighting at Grand Army Plaza December 16 to 23. At the illumination ceremony, you'll be surrounded by hot latkes, artisan donuts, live music and Hanukkah gifting items at the Chanukah Pop Up Center, which is open December 14–24.

Brooklyn's menorah stands 32 feet tall and is trumped by only one other 62-foot-tall non-Hanukkah candelabra in Manado Indonesia. So more specifically, The World's Largest Menorah is actually The World's Largest "Hanukkah" Menorah, tied with another that just so happens to be in NYC as well (it will be lit each night in Manhattan's Grand Army Plaza on the Upper East Side). Still, nitpicky details aside, this is sure to be a spectacle for the season.

Here's the schedule at Grand Army Plaza, Brooklyn:

1st Night of Hanukkah, Tuesday, December 16, 6:00pm

2nd Night of Hanukkah, Wednesday, December 17, 6:00pm.

3rd Night of Hanukkah, Thursday, December 18, 6:00pm

4th Night of Hanukkah, Friday, December 19, 3:30pm

5th Night of Hanukkah, Saturday, December 20, 7:00pm

6th Night of Hanukkah, Sunday, December 21, 6:00pm

7th Night of Hanukkah, Monday, December 22, 6:00pm

8th Night of Hanukkah, Tuesday, December 23, 6:00pm
