New York’s newest Chick-fil-a is giving away $37,000 in free food

The Southern-bred chicken fast-food chain may be controversial, but it turns out New Yorkers must be sheepishly ordering waffle fries and chicken sandwiches anyway, because Chick-fil-a is expanding its franchise with a third Big Apple location—inside the Queens Center Mall in Elmhurst.

When the first New York location opened in Manhattan's Herald Square, the first 100 people in line were awarded a year's worth of free Chick-fil-a grub. On September 1, when Chick-fil-a Queens opens its doors, the first 100 people in line will again be rewarded, this time with $37,000 in free food.

Mayor de Blasio has publicly voiced his opposition of the conservative fast-food chain and urged New Yorkers to boycott those wraps and nuggets, but at the end of the day, the choice is yours whether you queue up for New York Chick-fil-a 3.0, or stick to all the other amazing fried chicken sandwiches Gotham has to offer.
