NYC’s first ever Roots Picnic is coming to Bryant Park

Roots Picnic will host its inaugural NYC edition this October. The music festival, which has been presented by hip-hop ensemble for the last nine in years in its hometown of Philadelphia, comes to Bryant Park on October 1 and 2. D’Angelo, John Mayer and the Roots serve as headliners for the first night, while David Byrne, Nile Rodgers and the Wu-Tang Clan, all backed by the Roots, top the bill on night two. The diverse lineup includes R&B sensation Jeremih, rising UK rapper Lady Leshurr, avant-rock outfit Deerhoof and up-and-coming pop singer Bibi Bourelly. Tickets go on sale Friday, Jule 10 at 10am via Ticketmaster. Check out the full lineup below
