A pop-up cat café called The Cat’s Meow is on its way to Brooklyn! Manhattanites have known the joy of interacting with felines in a social setting for months now, but now Fort Greene residents are getting in on the action.

The Cat’s Meow will have an official grand opening celebration at 354 Myrtle Avenue on Saturday, September 19, but before then, you can hit up an adoption event outside the café on Friday, September 18 from 2-8pm.

The café will be open for five weeks (through October 24) Wednesdays-Sundays from 11am to 5pm. Friday nights the café will be open till 8pm, so you can stop by and visit the friendly felines after work.

In addition to hanging out with cats, you’ll be able to get drinks and snacks from Brooklyn Sweet Spot and Red Lantern Bicycle Café. Admission is $5 per half hour with children under 3 let in for free. The adoption fees for a cat is $100.
