Praise those perfectly crispy and salty french fry gods, because Pommes Frites is expected to open in Greenwich Village next month! Nearly a year ago today, the popular East Village nook was demolished during the Second Avenue explosion. After a Pommes Frites-less 12 months, the hot spot will debut new digs at 128 MacDougal St, which is very dangerous news for your pant size. (The block is also home to Artichoke Basille's Pizza and Creperie NYC, to name a few).
According to Eater, the space will have more seating and extra deep fryers, so hopefully you won't have to wait in too long. The owners are expecting to open sometime in April. Yippee!
